The Paraguayan doctors rejected government accusations and resume today four hours of arrest in hospitals and other facilities in addition to reconfirm the general three-day strike from September 30.
The reaction of physicians adopted at a general meeting yesterday was a sort of response to the serious allegations by the Health Minister, Antonio Barrios, who said the protests are driven by political opposition leaders.
Although partially admitted the obvious existing in the supply of drugs including vaccines and other existing problems in the sector deficiencies, Barrios said former health ministers are behind claims of physicians.
In fact, the proposals made at the outset were ratified at the meeting on Sunday and include double the budget for public health solution to the lack of medicines and supplies, repair of hospitals, health career and salary increase.
