Marine seize drugs in Puerto Chiapas

Mexico, DF. Troops of the Navy of Mexico attached to the Fourteenth Naval District, based in Puerto Chiapas, Chiapas, conducted an air and sea operation that secured two small boats carrying 585 packages with a total weight of just over 600 kilograms of suspected drug, approximately 93 kilometers southwest of the port. 

In a statement, the Navy reported that the operation was conducted as a result of the work of intelligence obtained by the Fourteenth Naval District, where it was reported that some small boats were acting suspiciously likely performing illegal activities. 



Therefore, a flyby of naval units of the institution, as well as surface and ground, locating a boat named "YESENNIA" Guatemalan flag with two outboard engines and three crew, which was performed was implemented finding a routine inspection aboard packages alleged drug with cocaine own characteristics. 

Also when operating a boat named "CHARLY I" is also assured based in Puerto Chiapas, with two outboard motors and two crew, for being allegedly involved with the crew of the vessel "YESENNIA". 

In this action the Marines personnel executed the "vertical insertion technique with fast rope" from a helicopter for inspection. 

Note that this assurance was conducted without making a single shot, with strict adherence to and respect for human rights, said the Navy of Mexico.
