Erectile dysfunction affects 55% of those over 40 years

At least 55 percent of the global population over age 40 have erectile dysfunction in mild, moderate or severe, of which 70 percent is ignored. 
Specialists Daniel Granados and Manuel Dehesa agreed that the disease represents a major public health problem and a marker of various diseases at increasingly younger ages. 
Erectile dysfunction is a "sign" or a "symptom" of conditions such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, vascular problems, high cholesterol, obesity, smoking, alcoholism and / or drug addiction. 
Daniel Granados, an internist at Regional General Hospital IMSS One of Cuernavaca, said that due to the lifestyle of these conditions are reported Mexicans increasingly younger ages, plus it is increasing the rate of the disease in adults aged 35 and 45. 
"Today obesity is a problem that can occur from childhood, causing other comorbidities that have increased the prevalence of erectile dysfunction at an earlier age and with greater impact," said the surgeon graduated from the UNAM. 
While Manuel Dehesa, specializing in urology Spanish Hospital, said that when a young man comes to consultation with erection problems, the first thing that should be investigated thoroughly, as symptoms and pathology are treatable. 
Similarly once the control patients overweight, diabetes, hypertension, smoking and alcoholism, "then we can talk about a better treatment outcome," which can be short and long term.
