The National Safety Commission (CNS) reported that elements of the Gendarmerie were deployed in the states of Baja California, Chiapas, Guanajuato, Jalisco and Tamaulipas, adding to the trustees of the newly established institution already in Valle de Bravo, State of Mexico, to perform tasks of social proximity and protection of productive chains.
"Gendarmerie Division of the Federal Police deployed groupings five states, with specific instructions to strengthen the territorial control, protect the safety of persons and property, and to safeguard their jobs.
"The mission of the elements of the Gendarmerie Division is to generate safety conditions in the presence of organized crime that threatens the life, liberty, integrity or property of the people," said the CNS.
It was announced that about 100 elements of the Gendarmerie, in the case of Chiapas, perform tasks on the border with Guatemala, to accompany the elements of the National Migration Institute (INM) in monitoring border crossings.
In the case of Tamaulipas, where the federal government provided a focused security strategy, are expected to perform tasks Gendarmes guard industrial tasks, especially the field and shelter save Pemex facilities.
"Based on intelligence work, research and analysis on security and socioeconomic indicators, Gendarmerie groupings were sent to Baja California, Chiapas, Guanajuato, Jalisco and Tamaulipas," explained the CNS.
