To celebrate the launch of the new models of iPhone and Apple Watch, U2 decided to give his new studio album number 13 in his career.
'Songs of Innocence', name of the album, is now available on iTunes for free, thanks to the alliance of the Irish band with Apple.
Bono and his bandmates were at the gala presentation of the iPhone 6 in Cupertino, California, and were responsible for closing the event with a live show, where they performed the album's first single, 'The Miracle ( of Joey Ramone) '.
"We wanted to make a very personal album. We wanted to find out why we wanted to be in a band, relations around the pool, our friendships, our loves, our family.
"The whole album is the first trips, first travel geographically, spiritually and sexually. And that's hard. But we got there, "Bono told Rolling Stone in an interview one day before the album's release.
Tim Cook, director of the giant Apple, described his collaboration with U2 as "the greatest of all time" because it will enable people from over 119 countries have access to their latest material at no cost.
The free download of 'Songs of Innocence', which also includes the subjects' Every Breaking Wave ',' California (There is No End to Love) ',' Song for Someone ',' Iris (Hold Me Close) ',' Volcano ',' Raised by Wolves', 'Cedarwood Road', 'Sleep Like a Baby Tonight', 'This Is Where You Can Reach Me Now' and 'The Troubles', will be available until October 13th.
