Brazil: new poll confirms tie between Rousseff and Marina Silva

A point of difference is considered technical draw because it is within the margin of error for the survey.

The survey shows that the president stands firm and got boom that react to Marina Silva, who became the revelation of the election since confirmed his candidacy in August to replace the socialist Eduardo Campos, who died in a plane crash.

The poll shows that if elections were held today, the president, an ex-combatant 66 years of Workers' Party (PT, left), obtained 39% of votes in the first round (was 37% two weeks ago) and Marina Silva , former Minister of Environment, 56, contesting the elections for the (PSB) Socialist Party would win 31% (was 33%).

In a possible second electoral turn, the dispute is undefined.

Rousseff resistance as indicated in polls at the start of the week, coincides with a better assessment of the government, which increased from 31% to 38% between June and September, according to the survey by IBOPE polling commissioned by the Confederation national Industry (CNI).

We survey was conducted from 5 to 8 September with 2,002 interviews and has a margin of error of two percentage points.
