At least 65 people died, 36 were injured and 82 remain missing as a result of heavy rains and landslides in Nepal Efe reported an official source.
The rains affected over the last three days especially west of the country in the districts of Surkhet and Bardiya, said a spokesman for the National Emergency Operations Centre, who declined to provide their identities.
Landslides and floods are common in Nepal in the era of more intense monsoon between July and August, but the force of the storms of recent days is higher than normal, although it is expected that the weather improves tomorrow.
On August 2, a landslide buried a village in China, where at least 30 people were killed and 135 disappeared.
Several countries in South Asia in recent days recorded heavy rainfall, which caused at least twenty dead in the state of Uttarakhand in northern India, and ten deaths in the city of Peshawar in northwest Pakistan.
