International editorial board. (EFE) .- Liberian President, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, has declared a state of emergency in the country following the outbreak of Ebola, announced in a televised address to the nation, collected by digital media.
In his speech, the president said that some civil rights may be suspended by the crisis in the country by the Ebola outbreak, which has killed at least 282 people.
"Ignorance and poverty, as well as religious and cultural practices rooted, continue to exacerbate the spread of the disease," he said in a televised address to the nation.
