The death toll in the earthquake last Sunday in the Chinese province of Yunnan rose today to 615 people, while the number of injured reached 3,100, according to a new report from the authorities.
The quake, which hit 6.5 degrees on the Richter scale, was the highest magnitude recorded in Yunan in the last 14 years.
After the strong earthquake, tens of thousands of people had to be evacuated to a safe place, appropriated news agency DPA.
