Neoguri 'targets Japanese island of Kyushu after leaving 20 wounded in Okinawa

The Japan Meteorological Agency announced today that the powerful typhoon "Neoguri 'heads to the island of Kyushu, the second most populous country, after passing through the archipelago of Okinawa, which has left destruction and twenty wounded and where maintains maximum rainfall alert.
All flights in the nine regional airports and shipping are paid in Okinawa, where heavy rains in some parts of the province have left 300 mm accumulated in twelve hours continue.
Some 70,000 households in 31 municipalities are also without power in the region, according to Okinawa Electric Company.

Although not as strong winds and waves as powerful as expected yesterday, the weather agency maintains a high-alert-the abode by rains in the islands of this archipelago resort.
On Tuesday, the shift from 'Neoguri' left 20 people injured, though none seriously, and forced local authorities to urge more than 592,000 people (almost half of the people living in Okinawa) from 19 locations to evacuate to the nearest municipal shelter.
The typhoon forced the closure of all schools in the province and most stores, plus some coastal highways.
It also destroyed aged structures (like an old cafe in the city of Naha that collapsed without the collapse would cause no injuries) and hundreds of trees, plus water tanks or light poles.
At 1000 local time (0100 GMT Wednesday) 'Neoguri' was in the East China Sea about 460 kilometers west of the west coast of Kagoshima (southern Kyushu), according to the weather agency.
The typhoon was moving northeast at a speed of 20 mph and dragged winds with top speeds of 180 kilometers per hour, although the weather agency has lowered its category of "very strong" to "strong."
It is expected that 'Neoguri' keep that path and possibly make landfall on Kyushu in the morning (local time) on Thursday.
Japan's meteorological agency did not rule out "Neoguri 'is then head to the eastern coast of Japan, the most populous area.
