Eight Palestinian militants killed in Israeli air strikes in the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian medics today.
Israel air strikes are in response to dozens of rockets fired by Palestinian militants for days against Israeli towns.
A spokesman for emergency services in the Gaza Strip said to reporters that six Palestinians were killed in an air strike in Rafah town and two others injured.
A report by broadcaster Al Aqsa, which handles the Palestinian militant group Hamas in the territory, said that the dead belong to the armed wing of the movement, Al Qassam Brigades.
The organization said the men were killed in an attack on a tunnel. This took place as the Sunday morning, but the bodies were recently discovered in the early hours of Monday, he said.
Previously during an attack by Israeli aircraft in the Gaza killed two Palestinians and wounded another. They were met at the entrance of Al Bureij refugee camp, witnesses and Palestinian doctors.
The Palestinian militant group Islamic Jihad was reported that two members of the armed wing of the organization.
Peter Lerner, spokesman for the Israeli military described the continued rocket attack from Gaza as unacceptable. Warplanes attacked overnight total of nine targets throughout the Gaza informed early Monday.
