To become a spokesperson for the gay community, Demi Lovato was inspired by the story of his late grandfather, who in the sixties revealed he was gay.
During the first broadcast of the awards Trail Blazers, Demi would not pass up the opportunity to pay tribute to his grandfather.
When you took the stage to deliver one of the awards, the singer said a few words: "I've never talked about this before, but the truth is that my grandfather was also a pioneer. He had the courage to reveal his homosexuality in the 60s, and I feel that much of my spirit in this case comes from his legacy. Demi has won the affection of thousands with their thinking, so that was selected to lead the Gay Pride parade in Los Angeles.
"It's an honor to be welcomed with open arms by the LGBT community, so I want to thank you with all my heart," he said during the event.
