The petition had been signed by 108,239 people over the internet to support this proposal as a tribute to Robin Williams, who was a big fan videojueos series "Legend of Zelda".The actor, who participated several times in Nintendo commercials, so loved this game called his daughter "Zelda".
"Robin Williams was beloved in Nintendo," said the American subsidiary of the Japanese group in a statement released Friday.
"We appreciate the outpouring of support from the players and we heard the request of the fans honor him in an upcoming game," said the statement.
