The Armed Forces of the United States today conducted raids on six new positions jihadists of the Islamic State (EI) Dam near Mosul in northern Iraq, in support of operations Iraqi and Kurdish forces.
Air strikes, fighter jets carried out "destroyed or damaged three military multipurpose vehicles (Humvees) and multiple sites of EI explosive devices," the United States Central Command said in a statement.
The bombing came a day after Washington confirmed the beheading of American journalist James Foley, abducted in Syria in 2012, at the hands of jihadists EI.
In the video of his execution, responsibility Foley President Barack Obama, his death by military intervention in Iraq before being beheaded on camera by a hooded speaking in English.
After the successful operation, the aircraft left the frontcourt smoothly, the Central Command said.
