Hurricane 'Polo' advances over the Pacific

Polo The storm became a Category 1 hurricane Wednesday night over the waters of the Mexican Pacific and unloading heavy rains in its progress towards the peninsula of Baja California tour, which a few days ago was devastated by powerful Hurricane Odile. 

Polo had sustained winds of 120 mph and was located 290 miles south of Manzanillo, the country's busiest commercial port in the state of Colima, said the National Hurricane Center of the United States. 

Hurricane Norbert down to Category 1; remains alert for BCS

The National Water Commission (Conagua) reported that Hurricane Norbert was downgraded to category I, at 22:00 pm Central Time Mexico, and has maximum sustained winds of 140 km / hr, gusting to 175 km / hr and moving west-northwest at 13 km / hr. 

Through a statement, the Conagua reported that Norbert is located 330 kilometers west-northwest of Cabo San Lazaro and 260 km south of Punta Eugenia, both points in Baja California Sur. 

Hurricane Norbert reaches category III in Mexico

Heavy rains from Hurricane Norbert forced the evacuation of populated areas of Mexico, as the Meteor III category on the Saffir-Simpson scale, walked parallel to the coast of the peninsula of Baja California.
