Present cycle after the creator of the iconic silent film character 'Charlot'

Charles Spencer Chaplin (1889-1977) not only distinguished himself as an actor, comedian, director, producer, writer and creator of the iconic character of silent film "Charlot", more than that, he was a great storyteller with the ability to do comedy and with a twist take the viewer to the overall gloom.

This was considered the film critic and researcher José Antonio Valdés Peña during the lecture he gave at the National Film to present the series "Chaplin forever" which includes six of the most representative films of British director.

During the conversation, Peña Valdés shared with the audience anecdotes, trivia and a bit of the dark who is considered a worldwide symbol of the silent film side; how he was creating his character "Chaplin," a vagabond who besides his obsession with food, was acquiring a critical consciousness in social situations that are living at the time.
