The investment in the telecommunications sector during the past six years is 50 billion dollars, said Ignacio Peralta, Secretary for Communications.
"The amendment entered into force on 13 August, the regulator is acting, international actors are watching, the Government is working on the projects," said the official while participating in the International Forum on Telecommunications Reform.
The official of the Ministry of Communications and Transport, said all the above, the result of the reform, will trigger new investments in the sector.
He said the Government will allocate about 10 billion dollars a shared network wholesaler and about 2 billion digital switchover.
"The federal government is promoting projects that will involve a major public investment but this is unfolding as of this year," he said.
As REFORM Group forward, Peralta confirmed that the second stage of delivery of 2.5 million televisions for the digital switchover will take place from October.
Regarding the wholesale network, the official said that soon an agreement with the Federal Institute of Telecommunications will be signed to establish the rules and mechanisms to carry out the project.
The Work Programme for 2014 SCT indicates that between August and September the bid for this project will be launched.
Peralta said that, in the case of the 2.5 GHz band, the pattern of use of use of this spectrum is studied.
