The Interior Ministry intends to impose the maximum penalty provided by law, by the lack of respect for the Mexican flag during a show of Miley Cyrus in Monterrey on 16 September.
Sources indicated that the dependence punishment would be 250 minimum wages that are equivalent to 17 thousand pesos.
They confirmed that it will be applied through Zignia Live, the company that brought Bangerz Tour to Mexico, because Cyrus does not have a permanent residence in the national territory to be notified.
"The lack of respect for Native Symbols shall be punished according to their severity and the condition of the offender, a fine up to the equivalent of 250 times the minimum, or arrest up to 36 hours pay," the law on the Shield, Flag and National Anthem.
Zignia spokesman Live, which operates in the arena DF Mexico City where Miley acts today, said he had no comment about it being sought by Reform Agency.
