The Soconusco and Istmo Sierra Costa Mariscal areas are in yellow alert for heavy rain forecast for the tropical wave number 27 which extends over the Yucatan Peninsula.
The delegate of Civil Protection in the Soconusco, Francisco Pérez Morales, said that according to the National Water Commission (CNA) 75-150 mm timely rains in the next 48 hours is expected.
In the presence of the coordinator of Civil Protection of the State, region Istmo-Costa, Guillermo Soto Palomeque, Civil Protection and coordinators of the different municipalities of the Soconusco region, he added that it is important that the public is attentive to the weather reports.
In a statement, the Harbor Regional Puerto Chiapas reported in this tropical wave present heavy rain, with thunderstorms and reduced visibility, and squalls in sea areas and warm temperatures.
