60% of the pilots of the French company Air France will not go to work today in protest of the conditions to agree to move to work in the low-cost subsidiary Transavia.
Despite the move, the company said it has mobilized 7,000 of its employees to try to minimize the impact of the protest to their customers. Intends to hold 48% of flights today.
This is the first of eight days of strike called by three unions of pilots.
Majority pilots union (SNPL) has called a strike reconductible from today until 22 of this month. If the protest continue the next six days, the flight schedule would have to adapt and Eve will communicate.
Air France, which estimates the cost of this strike in between "10 and 15 million euros" per day, advises customers who have booked a flight (between now and the 22nd of this month) to postpone your trip, change your ticket request without charge or refund.
