The hit series "Breaking Bad" swept the Emmy night

The acclaimed series "Breaking Bad" on Monday night became the big winner at the Emmy Awards by winning five major Oscars, including best dramatic series, and won the award last year. "Thank you for this farewell to our series," said Vince Gilligan to collect, creator of "Breaking Bad" award, which last September issued its final chapter after five seasons.

As best dramatic actor was crowned for the fourth time Bryan Cranston, or what is the same, Walter White, chemistry teacher turned drug manufacturer in starring "Breaking Bad". The series, which started with 16 nominations, also won the awards in Los Angeles in the categories of Best Screenplay, Best Director and Best Actor camera and actress for Aaron Paul (who plays Jesse Pinkman), Anna Gunn (Skyler White, the wife of the protagonist).

Cranston's win as best dramatic actor Matthew McConaughey prevented ("True Detective") became the first actor to win an Oscar and an Emmy in the same year, after taking over the top film award for "Dallas Buyers Club". Meanwhile, the first season of "True Detective" won five awards, including Best Director of a Drama Series. Meanwhile, the Emmy for best dramatic actress for this year was Julianna Margulies for "The Good Wife", the only recognition that managed this series.

"Games Of Thrones" with 19 nominations was the series that aspired to more prizes, finally got four, although in lower categories, like best costumes and special effects. Worse yet stop out "House Of Cards" with Kevin Spacey ambitious obsessed with reaching the Oval Office, who despite his 13 Emmy nominations just got the best sound. "Orange Is The New Black", the prison series as "House Of Cards" produced and broadcast streaming service Netflix, won three awards.

In the comedy category, "Modern Family" reigned for the fifth consecutive year as the best series and also won two other awards, one for Ty Burrell as best supporting actor for his role as Phil, a fun and naive father family. "It's a miracle to be here with so many series that are worth so much." Modern Familiy "was a beautiful dream the last five years, please do not wake up," said executive producer, Steve Levitan.

The award for best comedy actor took him Jim Parsons, who plays the brilliant and quirky physicist Sheldon Cooper on "The Big Bang Theory", while best actress went to Julia Louis-Dreyfus for "Veep."

Movie stars. In the best miniseries category the winner was "Fargo", inspired by the movie of the same name in 1996 by the Coen brothers, now executive producers of this television adaptation. Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates rose meanwhile the awards for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress in a Miniseries for "American Horror Story: Coven". Among men, Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman were made with these statuettes for their roles in "Sherlock: His Last Vow".

The 66th Primetime Emmy received some criticism, particularly by the number of "repeats" that occurred in certain categories. According to critics, actors Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Jim Parsons and Julia Louis-Dreyfus were awarded too many times already.

Tribute to Robin Williams

With a lump in my throat and a slight tremor in his voice, actor Billy Crystal paid tribute to his partner Robin Williams at the Emmy ceremony, two weeks after the actor died in an apparent suicide. Crystal, a friend of Williams since the 70's, reminded the interpreter as "the brightest star in the galaxy of comedy." "It's very hard to talk about him in the past because it was so present in our lives," he said.
