The promises to be, in the words of producer Butch Vig, as the "epic" Foo Fighters album, "Sonic Highways", will be released on November 10, announced in the last hours his record.
It will be his eighth studio album and comes in parallel with the television series shot by own band along eight key cities in the musical construction of the United States: Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Seattle, and Washington, DC
For both the album for the series, Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett and Pat Smear wrote and recorded a song each in each of these cities, delving into local musical trends.
"This album is instantly recognizable as a Foo Fighters record, but something deeper and more music on it. I think these cities and these people have helped us to expand and explore our territory, "said Grohl was quoted by Sony Music.
Besides the official cover of the album "Sonic Highways", which was also presented in honor of those cities the album incorporate other eight variants, each presenting those places.
Produced by Foo Fighters and Butch Vig (Garbage battery and responsible, among others, "Nevermind" by Nirvana), this new work in the career of American arrives after the break in activity following the successful "Wasting Light" (2011), winner of four Grammy awards.
"Something From Nothing", "The Feast and The Famine", "Congregation", "What Did I Do? / God As My Witness", "Outside", "In The Clear", "Subterranean" and "I Am A River "are the titles of the eight songs on the album.
The television series, broadcast in the United States on HBO, will be in Spain on Canal +. E.
