total of 469 children have died in Gaza since the outbreak of the war, said Unicef, the UN agency said, adding that hundreds of thousands of children need urgent psychological and social support.
"They are in a state of trauma," said the head of the UNICEF office in Gaza, Priscilla Ironside, at a press conference in which she reviewed the conflict that erupted in July and its impact on children.
In the past 48 hours have killed 9 children more by fighting, bringing the number to 469 deaths under. Ironside said about 3,000 have been injured and are part of the 400,000 displaced by the conflict.
Meanwhile, an Israeli air strike in Gaza killed three senior members of Hamas. The group vowed revenge.
