The rumors were confirmed yesterday by FIFA; Shakira perform at the final of the World Cup Brazil 2014, which means his third appearance in a row at the close of the international soccer competition.
"I'm very excited to sing my song 'La La La (Brazil 2014)' in the closing ceremony of the World Cup Brazil 2014," Shakira said in the statement released on their official website the body of soccer.
"I keep a complicated relationship with football for obvious reasons, and really understand what the World Cup means to so many people, including me.
"I am very grateful for the opportunity to re-introduce in the closing ceremony of the World Cup FIFA in Brazil, I am very pleased. The fans have shown incredible support for this song and can not stand the urge to sing for them, "said the Colombian who also closed the end of Germany 2006 and South Africa 2010.
The closing ceremony, according to FIFA, will feature a spectacular music show before the final match.
On 13 July at the stage located in the center of the Maracana, Shakira sing (a duet with Carlinhos Brown), Santana, Wyclef and Alexandre Pires, these last two perform 'Give A Jeito', the official theme of World Cup 2014 FIFA).
Brazilian superstar Ivete Sangalo bring a local flavor to the show with a medley of well known Brazilian songs, some of them accompanied by Pires.
During the show also enjoy a taste of authentic "samba-tangle" of GRES Acadêmicos do Grande Rio, in a tribute to the party headquarters where the final will be played city, FIFA said in a statement.
