At the main entrance of the center Roberto Garza Sada Art and Design on Thursday is a black ribbon in memory of cultural promoter and entrepreneur Margarita Fernandez Garza Sada, died that day at the age of 88 years, who was one of the main benefactors of this complex which opened last year.

The ceremony, attended by family, businessmen, politicians and friends, including Margarita Zavala, wife of former President Felipe Calderon, was held at the Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe, in the municipality of San Pedro Garza García.
Margarita Garza Sada "was the beloved soul of cultural projects such as the Museum of Contemporary Art in Monterrey" and "its work Nuevo León was consolidated as a cultural capital.
