Four children and two adults were killed Wednesday and a seventh person is in "critical condition" after a shooting in the metropolitan area of the city of Houston (Texas), police said Harris County where the event occurred.
"The office of the Harris County Sheriff confirms death of two adults and four children in a shooting at a residence located at number 711 Leaflet Lane Spring", about 40 kilometers from the city of Houston, police said on a statement.
Authorities found two adults and three children killed when they reached the scene.
Another child died after being taken to hospital, the police, who said that a seventh person is in 'critical situation' said.
It was not immediately mobile shooting, although police sources told the ABC television that this is a domestic dispute.
Police chased the suspect of the crime, a man of about 30 years, which encompassed a dead end and who after spending three hours at the police cornered surrendered, according to U.S. media.
It is not known yet the identity of the suspect or the shooting deaths.
