
The UAE Space Agency, created to oversee the mission and the development of space technology industry in the country, said in a statement that the mission will be an important step in the Arab world in the international space race.
"The UAE probe to Mars represents the input of the Islamic world in the era of space exploration. Going to show that we are able to offer new scientific contributions to humanity," said UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan.
The space agency said that the probe will be done to the Mars mission has already been built, but did not disclose details of its form or its cost, according to a report by the Arab network Al Arabiya.
