Legal and Legal Services Federal District director, José Ramón Gálvez Amieva reported that according to the Federation not invaded areas of competence in the law that prohibits the use of animals in circuses.
"We received two important consultations were that governed our criteria: first, the Interior Ministry, and the second from the federal Legal Counsel where we determined that the sphere of competence of the Federation are not invaded," he said.
Thus, he emphasized that the Law on the Conduct of Public Entertainment that was released Tuesday does not affect the ownership of the animals, but only the use thereof in the circus.
